YASMINE & HOUARI
For SOLE DXB, ATLAL FROM GALBI immersed visitors into the world of Houari and Yasmine, a fictional Algerian couple whose lives reflected the daily reality of many families.
The activation focused on their habits, their tastes, and the quiet beauty of their routine.
Houari worked in administration. He followed the Paris–Dakar race every year, especially the stages crossing the Algerian Sahara, often watching it with his son on Sunday afternoons. He listened to Hasni, Skandrani, and classical chaâbi, and dressed with the intentional neatness of an older generation.
Yasmine was a schoolteacher who loved jewelry, sentimental songs, and iconic Arab divas such as Warda and Oum Kalthoum. She brought warmth to her home through small gestures, music, and a deep attachment to tradition.
The booth at SOLE was conceived as a window into their life — a space capturing their rhythm, their tastes, and the emotional universe of their home.
The clothing presented was imagined as their wardrobe, with pieces shaped by the aesthetics, lifestyle, and atmosphere of that era.
Through Houari and Yasmine, ATLAL FROM GALBI shared a narrative that felt familiar, intimate, and culturally grounded — a tribute to those who defined our sense of elegance long before fashion did.
